JOOY | Journey of Our Youth is a 501c3 non profit located in Pensacola, FL. We were established in 2020 with a goal in mind to get back to the grassroots approach of it takes a village. JOOY has been doing just that establishing a village to service underserved, underprivileged, and or those considered to be at risk youth in our community.
JOOY is committed to changing the narrative of under served, poverty stricken, and at risk youth who have been impacted by various forms of Trauma.
We do this through:
• Advocacy • Education • Mentorship • Sports • Events
Our organization was founded to serve poverty stricken at risk youth in the communities we live, work, and worship. Our way of measuring the impact is by keeping track of crimes committed by juveniles as well as graduation rates in the communities of those that are considered to be poverty stricken and or under served.
Our Motto is: Every child is important we cannot afford to loose any!
Our Slogan or hashtag is: A Different Approach #aDifferentApproach
We simply are trying news ways and being creative with the ways we engaged, and or interact with the youth. By doing this we have found that we give them a voice and then we advocate on behalf of them with our voices and through our actions. We realize in this day and time most people are listening to the youth. Most times we as adults treat children as property instead as people. Here at JOOY we treat the as people and give them their voice back.
JOOY is NOT a standard stand alone type of organization we believe and stand on the principles of it takes a village therefore we are uniting with other organizations in the community to create a better experience for the youth and parents we serve.
